Ray Guns are here

I am watching "60 Minutes" and they are showing what they call an "Active Denial System (ADS)", basically a ray gun. They showed basically a truck mounted device that looks like a flat satellite antenna. When "fired" it causes intense pain in the upper layers of the skin around 1/2 mile away. The reporter attempted to walk toward the device several time, and could only stay in the "beam" for less than 5 seconds...did I mention 1/2 mile away. Termed as non-lethal force, it is not suppose to cause permanent injury except there have been cases where a few people developed rashes and some 2nd degree burns. If a person is able to continue to move forward, you simply divert to lethal force as you are sure they are driven and is not just an average protester or bystander. It shoots out a 100,000-watt beam at the speed of light, hitting any thing in its path with an intense blast of heat....Buck Rogers, here we come.
